On February 7, 2020, at the Roberto Durán Arena in Panama City, he defeated Colombian Rober Barrera by technical knockout and retained the interim WBA flyweight title.

On April 2, 2011, at the Roberto Durán Arena in Panama, he was technically knocked out in 11 rounds by the Mexican Hernán Márquez. On August 31, 2016, he lost the WBA super flyweight title on the scales, although in the fight he defeated the Japanese Kohei Kono.
