On September 19, 2015, at the Centro de Usos Múltiples in Hermosillo, Mexico, he defeated Mexican David Sánchez by medical technical decision in ten rounds and became interim WBA super flyweight champion. On February 7, 2020, at the Roberto Durán Arena in Panama City, he defeated Colombian Rober Barrera by technical knockout and retained the interim WBA flyweight title.

Lost His Title
On April 2, 2011, at the Roberto Durán Arena in Panama, he was technically knocked out in 11 rounds by the Mexican Hernán Márquez. On August 31, 2016, he lost the WBA super flyweight title on the scales, although in the fight he defeated the Japanese Kohei Kono.
