On March 17, 2018, at New York's Madison Square Garden, he defeated Amir Imam* by unanimous decision to win the WBC Super Lightweight title. On July 27, 2019, he defeated Maurice Hooker by technical knockout and became double super lightweight champion, keeping the WBO belt.

Lost His Title

On May 22, 2021, in Las Vegas, he unified his WBC and WBO super lightweight titles with British Josh Taylor, IBF and WBA super lightweight champion, and lost by unanimous decision.
